New Delhi: The budget session of Parliament adjourned till April 5 soon after the session was resumed today after a four-day break today. Proceedings in both the Houses; Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are adjourned until the Parliament will meet again on Wednesday 11AM.

The second leg o the Budget session began on March 13 and has not witnessed any significant business so ar. The ruling and Opposition parties have been at loggerheads over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks in London and the Adani-Hidenburg row. While the upper House was adjourned as MPs from Congress and other opposition parties created a ruckus, demanding a Joint Parliamentary probe into the charges against Adani Group. The proceedings of Lok Sabha were adjourned after obituary references to sitting MP Girish Bapat.

Meanwhile, MP’s held a meeting at the Congress Parliamentary Party office today to chalk out the strategy for the day. The party MPs were asked to wear black clothes during the meeting. The meeting was held ahead of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s move to file today an appeal in Surat court against his conviction in a criminal defamation case.
