NEW DELHI: The Regional Meteorological Department has issued an alert predicting isolated rainfall with lighting and thunderstorm across several districts of CG.

As per the forecast,11 districts may receive rainfall and lightning in the afternoon today.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a Western Disturbance seen as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan and its neighbourhood in lower and middle tropospheric levels and a cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Rajasthan & adjoining Haryana in lower tropospheric levels. Meanwhile, a trough runs from the cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan to south Assam in lower tropospheric levels. Another trough/wind discontinuity runs from Bihar to South Interior Karnataka in lower tropospheric levels.

Maximum temperatures are expected to rise over central India by two to four degree Celsius after two days.

Meanwhile in MP, a yellow alert has been issued for rain and thundershowers with lightning for Sagar, Rewa, Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions and districts like Betul, Sidhi and Singrauli.
