NEW DELHI: Delhi Capitals (142/5) defeated UP Warriorz (138/6) by five wickets, to finish on top of points table to enter WPL final. Earlier, opting to field Delhi Capitals produced a disciplined bowling effort to restrict UP Warriorz to 138 for six. Off-spinner Alice Capsey (3/26) and left-arm spinner Radha Yadav (2/28) shone bright with the ball. Tahila McGrath unbeaten top-scored for UP Warriorz, while skipper Alyssa Healy made 36.

New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr starred with the ball, grabbing an economical three-fer and then played a solid hand with the bat to guide Mumbai Indians to a four-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the penultimate league match of the Women’s Premier League.

The defeat for RCB was their sixth out of 8 matches as their nightmare campaign came to an end.

Mumbai got off to a fiery start but then choked in the chase after losing wickets in quick succession. Kerr then added 47 runs for the fifth wicket with Pooja Vastrakar (19) to revive Mumbai and took the team across the finish line in the 17th over.
