RAISEN, MP: The video of a govt official from Raisen, Madhya Pradesh has gone viral on the internet. In the video, Shatrughan Sinha Tehsiler of Udaipura in Raisen is seen claiming ‘work in India is always done for money’.

As per inputs, troubled farmers facing issues in regard to work related to their land had gone to the Tehsildar to share their plight; as the revenue officers in the Tehsil demanded bribes to proceed with their requests.

As the video surfaced, Collector Arvind Dubey immediately issued an order against Sinha and removed him from the post. Tehsildar Motilal Ahirwar of Gratganj was ordered to take over the charge as the new Tehsildar and look into the query of the farmers. Moreover, Om Prakash Mongia-assistant grade 2 posted in Udaipura Tehsil whose complaint was put forth by the farmers was also suspended.

A similar incident of bribery was reported a week ago, in which a Panchayat Sachit accused of illicit transactions was caught red-handed. The Lokayukta Police Bhopal had caught the former while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
