RAIPUR: The absconding son of BJP LoP, Narayan Chandel accused of rape and atrocities has moved the HC to quash the FIRs filed against him by a tribal woman.
Palash Chandel in the plea claims that the girl is accusing him falsely. As per sources, the writ petition will be heard on Feb 10 by the Division Bench of Justice Sanjay K Agarwal.
Son of Narayan Chandel, BJP Leader of Opposition, and Janjgir Champa MLA has been booked for sexually assaulting a tribal woman on the pretext of marrying her and impregnating her. A case has been registered by a lady Janjgir-Champa at Raipur’s Mahila Thana. “First, the victim filed her complaint in SC &ST act Police station against the accused later on FIR was lodged against the accused in Mahila Thana,” police added.
He has been charged under Indian Penal Code sections 367(2)(n) (commit rape repeatedly on the same woman) and 313 (causing miscarriage without woman’s consent).
