RAIPUR: The 85th Congress plenary session of the party from February 24 to 26 in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur will be organized at the Rajyotsav Ground in Naya Raipur.
State in-charge Kumari Selja along with CM Bhupesh Baghel today took stock of the preparations today. Around 10,000 Congress party workers including top leaders across the country will arrive in CG to attend the three day session.
At the session dscussion will be held on 6 major issues including, political, economic and international affairs. “There will be 6 key subjects that will be debated and discussed. These are economic, political, international affairs, farmers and agriculture, social justice and empowerment, youth, education and employment,” Venugopal mentioned while he announced the venue for the 85th plenary session.
Hosting of 85th Congress plenary session in Chhattisgarh assumes importance as the state is all set to go for assembly elections by November this year. This is the for the first time the plenary session of the party is being held in the state.
The decision to hold the 85th Congress plenary session was taken at the first meeting of Congress steering committee, constituted by party president Mallikarjun Kharge after taking over as the party chief.
