RAIPUR: CM Bhupesh Baghel slammed the opposition as the state achieved its paddy procurement target set for the Kharif Season 2022-23. Taking to Twitter, Baghel congratulated the farmers and indirectly took a jibe at the opposition BJP.
Chhattisgarh on January 17th successfully procured 100 LMT from the farmers across the state during the Kharif Marketing season that began on November 1 last year. The CG govt this year had determined to procure 110 LMT at MSP. The procurement figures were confirmed by Food minister Amarjeet Bhagat in a media interaction at his residence on Tuesday.
The milestone is achieved a fortnight ahead of the procurement process to conclude. As per an official communiqué this year 24.96 lakh farmers have been registered in the state, of which about 2.30 lakh are new registered farmers.
