BHOPAL: On instructions of the District in charge and UAD Minister, Bhopal collector Avinash Lawania has issued an order to change school timing. In view of the chilling winters, higher authorities have directed to change the school timings. The schools will now begin classes at 9:30 AM. At present, the schools start classes at 8:30 AM.

Bhopal recorded a night temperature of 8.0 degrees Celsius on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday. The capital city was covered with dense fog reducing the visibility to only 50 meters.

Pachmarhi recorded the lowest night temperature in the state as 4.5 degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded the minimum temperature as 8.2 degrees Celsius and Indore as 9.4 degree Celsius. Only Khandwa, Khargone, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Sidhi, and Seoni recorded temperatures above ten degrees Celsius. The Met dept has issued yellow and orange alerts across several disricts in view of the dense fog and chilling winds.
