QATAR: Defending champions France outclassed the history-making Morocco side in the second leg of the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Dec 14. Securing its second-successive berth in the summit clash of the FIFA World Cup, Didier Deschamps-coached France upstaged Morocco 2-0 at the Al-Bayt Stadium in Qatar.

The team struck an early breakthrough from the goal by Theo Hernandez in the first five minutes.

Another winning stroke came in through the substitute Randal Kolo Muani that took the score to 2-0 achieving France its ticket to finale.

With this win, France have become the first defending champions to qualify for consecutive World Cup finals since Brazil did in 1998.

Kylian Mbappe-starrer France will meet Lionel Messi-led Argentina in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Sunday at the Luhsail stadium.
