RAIPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a slew of projects worth Rs 75,000 crores in Nagpur which included the arrival of Vande Bharat express in Chhattisgarh. The sixth of the country and the first of the state, Vande Bharat express was flagged off from Nagpur on Sunday which received a grand welcome at Rajnandangaon Railway station.

The celebrations at the station were witnessed by Dr. Raman Singh, MP Santosh Pandey, BJP State President Arun Sahu among others.

The train will operate six days a week from Bilaspur to Nagpur(Maharshtra) via Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Gondia. The journey between Bilaspur to Nagpur will be completed in six hours.

The fare charges from Bilaspur to Nagpur are Rs 1,077 for AC-II, while the executive class ticket can be procured at Rs 2,045. The train has 16 coaches which a total seating capacity is 1128.

Apart from this, projects worth ₹75,000 crore – including Nagpur Metro – were “dedicated to the nation” on Sunday.

Earlier, the Vande Bharat Express was flagged off on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route in October.
