New Delhi: Aaftab Amin Poonawalla, accused of murdering his live-in partner Shraddha Walker, joined the proceedings in Saket court through video conferencing today. Delhi’s Saket court extended the judicial custody of accused Aftab Poonawalla by 14 days after the Delhi Police sought an extension of his judicial custody citing the reason that the investigation was underway. He is currently lodged in Tihar Jail.

On the other hand, accused Aaftab is openly challenging the Mehrauli police to find evidence against him related to the case. A senior officer of Delhi Police said on the condition of anonymity that when Mehrauli police caught the accused, he said, “I have killed Shraddha, if you have the guts, show them by recovering the body parts and tools.” As per further claims by the police, he is seen to be repeating this challenge again and again.

South district police officers are also in a fix regarding this confidence of the accused. Apparently, the police are yet to recover Shraddha’s head and torso. The jaw was recovered from the forest of Chhatarpur and the body piece recovered from a 100-foot road also showed that it was the body of a woman. However, the police recovered five knives from the kitchen. These were used by the accused to dismember Shraddha’s body. Meanwhile, Aaftab also went through Narco and Polygraph tests during his custody. Further investigations are underway in this case.
