Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is in Bhopal today on a one-day stay. She reached the CM House directly from the airport. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan warmly received her for the stay. Finance Minister Sitharaman reached Mantralaya after staying at CM House for about an hour. In the presence of CM Shivraj, she held a meeting with the officers of the State Finance Department and discussed the financial plans of the state. 

She stayed for about one and a half hours in the Mantralaya. After this, she reached the Dattopant Thengadi memorial lecture program organized at Rabindra Bhavan, where she will deliver a lecture on the topic “India’s economic potential in the global scenario of the 21st century”. The topics of payment of installment of other central assistance are included. Besides Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, other dignitaries were also present in the program.

It may be noted that today is the 102nd birth anniversary of the founder of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Dattopant Thengadi. Just before the arrival of the Union Finance Minister, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh tweeted, “Honourable Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Ji, I heartily welcome you on your arrival in Bhopal, the land of Madhya Pradesh, the city of lakes. I am sure that with your thoughts and guidance, the development of Madhya Pradesh will gain more momentum. I express my heartfelt gratitude for your arrival.” The financial conditions are expected to improve in the state after this visit.
