Mungeli, Chhattisgarh: In Chhattisgarh’s Mungeli, a no-confidence motion against the district president has been declined by the Sub Divisional magistrate. A total of 16 district members had brought a no-confidence motion against Meena Naresh Patle, the panchayat president of the Lormi district. No votes were cast by the district members against her, which is why the SDM rejected the no-confidence motion and ended the proceedings.

There is a total of 25 elected district members under Lormi Janpad Panchayat. The date of voting on the no-confidence motion was fixed for Tuesday, and voting was to be held in the meeting hall of District Panchayat Lormi from the same morning itself. But none of the 25 district members reached the assembly hall to vote till the scheduled time for voting.

On the other hand, Lormi’s SDM Parvati Patel said that no member of the district voted till the stipulated time on the no-confidence motion against Meena Naresh Patle, the present president of Lormi district. So, she took the decision to cancel the proceedings and ended it by rejecting the no-confidence motion.
