Vaccine: The rapid rise of coronavirus has forced the researchers to speed up their development in preparation of the vaccine. Most of the vaccines have shown some advancement. The mRNA-1273 is showing advance progress among all. The world proposed more than 110 vaccines to fight against coronavirus. India has made 30 groups that are engaged in preparing the vaccine.
The Principal Scientific Advisor, K Vijay Raghavan said that there are 6 candidates for vaccine trials. Almost all produced drugs are being repurposed and all are in different phases of trials for use. The results are yet to show.
The Moderna’s mRNA-1273 is in phase 2 of a clinical trial. It creates a rapid antibody against the infection. CanSino Bio’s Ad5-nCoV is also being tested up.
The British firm namely, GlaxoSmithKline Plc. Has decided to make 1 billion doses of vaccine booster to develop the efficiency of the body to fight against the infection. It has decided to produce an ingredient that would make the vaccine work faster in a body.
The American biotech firm Novavax has produced NVX-CoV2373. The vaccine is undergoing the clinical trial and is in an advanced phase.
The vaccine prepared by Oxford University is named as ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 is also in progress.
It has been claimed that most of the vaccines have started to show the positive results but no confirmed results have been declared yet. The vaccine might be produced by the end of this year.
To the contrary, an epidemiologist and evolutionary biologist of the University of Chicago, Sarah Cobey stated that the virus might never go away. The people must learn to coexist with the virus and the human body must be strong enough to produce cells that would act as a shield against the virus.
