RAIPUR: Since the initiation of paddy procurement, the administration has procured nearly 69,783 MT of paddy across Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh State Marketing Federation Ltd released a sum of Rs 280.07 crore so far for the procurement an official said.
As of November 4th, a total of 8,671 tokens have been issued to farmers who wished to sell their paddy under MSP. On November 5th Saturday, an official stated that 12,577 tokens were issued to the farmers by hand and 1,428 registered farmers applied for the token on the Tunhar Haath App.
The process will continue till January 31, 2023. In the Kharif marketing year 2021-22, the state eyes to procure more than 110LMT of paddy. As many as 25.92 lakh farmers have registered to sell their paddy at MSP to the govt, out of which 1.86 lakh have registered for the first time. This year, normal paddy os being procured for Rs 2040 per quintal while A-grade paddy is being bought for Rs 2060 per quintal.
