NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi on the occasion of Dhanteras will ‘gift’ jobs to 75,000 aspiring youth across the country virtually today. According to the PMO, he will interact with the shortlisted youngsters via video conferencing at 11 am today. He will also launch the recruitment drive ‘Rozgar Mela’ to recruit 10 lakh personnel.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Thursday said this will be a significant step towards fulfilling the continuous commitment of the prime minister to provide job opportunities for the youth and ensure the welfare of all the citizens.

The new recruits selected from across the country will be joining 38 ministries or departments of the Government of India. The appointees will join the government at various levels in Group A and B (Gazetted), Group B (Non-Gazetted), and Group C. The posts on which appointments are being made include the central armed force personnel, sub-inspectors, constables, LDC, steno, PA, income tax inspectors, and MTS among others, the PMO statement said.

The recruitments are being done in Mission Mode by ministries and departments either by themselves or through recruiting agencies such as UPSC, SSC, and Railway Recruitment Board.
