Baikunthpur: Earthquake tremors were felt in many areas of Chhattisgarh today morning. An earthquake of 4,8 Ritcher magnitude occurred at Gauge Dam-Rakaya, at a distance of 7 km from Baikunthpur in Koriya district.
According to National Center for Seismology (NCS), tremors of 4.8 magnitudes were felt in many areas of the state. Its center is said to be 65 km away from Ambikapur, 10 km from the ground.

Sources reveal that tremors of earthquake were felt even about a month ago. The earthquake had a depth of 10 km from the surface and geographical position was 23.330 North latitude and 82.580 East Latitude.
