Mumbai: Ayushman Khurrana’s comedy drama Doctor G hits the silver screen today and the fulm will mark the directorial debut of Anubhuti Kashyap. An A certified film, Junglee Pictures Doctor G has seen encouraging advance bookings which is a breath of fresh air for a mid-sized film.
While Ayushman has often chosen unconventional movies, Doctor G is his first film with A certification.
“Gynaecology department ki har ek naari, padegi DoctorrG pe bhaari!”, posted the star on Instagram.
He also tweeted a video promoting his film.
Doctor G is the story of Uday Gupta (Ayushmann Khurana) who finds himself as the lone male student in the Gynaecology department. His reluctance leads to chaos, comedy, and eventually great camaraderie with his fellow classmates. Besides Doctor-G, Parineeti Chopra’s action film ‘Code Name Tiranga’ will also hit theatres today. Netflix’s much-awaited show Mismatched 2 will release today as well.
