Mumbai: The Mumbai Police in Bihar nabbed the ‘man’ who threatened to target Reliance Industries Limited chairperson Mukesh Ambani and his family members.

According to sources in the know, the police picked up the suspect from Bihar’s Darbhanga district around midnight and brought him to Mumbai for interrogation.

In an anonymous call made to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai at 12.57 pm threats were given to blow up the hospital along with the family’s residence- Anitilia in South Mumbai. “A police complaint has been registered and we are providing all the necessary details to the police in their investigations, a Reliance Industries Limited spokesperson said. Following the threat, the industrialists’ security was beefed up both at the residence and the hospital, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nilotpal told reporters.
The threat comes a week after Mukesh Ambani was given the top category of Z+ security.

A similar threat call was reported in August this year, the Mumbai police arrested a jeweller for making nine threat calls to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and threatening to harm Mukesh Ambani and his family.
