Raipur: CM Bhupesh Baghel at a virtual conference from the state capital released an amount of Rs 8.14 crore in the bank accounts of beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana. Under this instalment cattle rearing villagers, farmers and landless farmers in Gauthans will be paid Rs 5.34 crore for 2.67 lakh quintals of cow dung procured by the state govt between September 16 and 30.

Besides the payment for cow dung, Rs 1.69 crore have been paid to the gauthan committees and Rs 1.11 crore to the women’s Self-help groups.

So far, under the leadership of Bhupesh Baghel, the CG govt has paid Rs 350.54 crore, inclusive of the latest transfer to the beneficiaries in the state under the Godhan Nyay Yojana which includes a bonus of Rs 8.14 crore.

The scheme launched for dedicated management of the livestock in the state has been beneficial ubiquitously in the state. So far the Baghel administration has approved the construction of Gauthans across 10,624 villages. More than 8,0148 Gauthans have been constructed and 1758 are under construcrion. More than 2,89,000 livestock owners in the state have benefited from the scheme.
