Karthi and Hrithik Praise Each Other As Vikram Vedha, Ponniyin Selvan I Clash in Theatres

It is seldom seen that big stars from two different industries praise each other. Fans of Vikram from Vikram Vedha and Karthi went aww!!! as Hrithik Roshan and the Mani Ratnam magnum opus star, Karthi praised each other as their film at the box office on Friday.

Hrithik and Saif starrer Vikram Vedha coincided with Mani Garu’s Ponniyin Selvan 1 featuring an ensemble cast at the theatres. So far both films have received much love from the audience.

Karthi took to his Twitter account on the day of the film’s release to wish luck to the Vikram Vedha team, and also said he is looking forward to watching the action-thriller. In response, Hrithik said he is also planning to watch Ponniyin Selvan and sent his best wishes to the team.

Vikram Vedha is an action thriller and a remake of the Tamil film of the same name. The directors and the actors on multiple occasions have said that the film is ‘very different’ to the original.

Ponnyin Selvan 1 is a tale of the intriguing period of the Chola Empire. It has derived its plot from a novel of the same by Kalki. It is a two-part historical drama.
