Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday at Paras Hospital on Wednesday. RJD Chief is receiving treatment for the fracture and other injuries sustained after falling down the stairs two days back. Lalu’s son Tejashwi Yadav in a statement said that his father is stable now and treatment for his kidney and heart issues are still on.
Lalu Yadav is likely to be shifted to Delhi’s AIIMS via air ambulance later on Wednesday. Tejashwi further stated that ‘if the situation arises where RJD Chief requires a kidney transplant we will take him to Singapore as well’. Prime Minister Modi and Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi also called upon Tejashwi Yadav to check on his father’s health.
Meanwhile, Lalu Yadav is out on bail in the 5 fodder scam cases of which the final one was granted by Jharkhand High Court in April this year. The court allowed him to travel abroad for kidney transplant and released his passport for its renewal. Nitish Kumar took to his twitter handle and posted pictures of his meet with RJD Chief and wished him a speedy recovery.
