New Delhi: India recorded 16,103 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.54 per cent accounted for 13,929 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,28,65,519. The daily positivity rate stood at 4.27 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 1,11,711 accounting for 0.26 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported an increase of 2,143 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.21 per cent recorded 31 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,25,199.
With the administration of 10.10 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 197.95 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Under the precautionary dose administration drive 4,67,58,142 beneficiaries have been immunized so far, including 2,46,99,901 individuals above 60 years.
