New Delhi: India recorded 14,506 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.56 per cent accounted for 11,574 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,28,08,666. The daily positivity rate stood at 3.35 per cent.

The number of active cases stood at 99,602 accounting for 0.23 per cent of the total number of cases. An increase by 2,902 active cases was reported in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.21 per cent recorded 30 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,25,077.

With the administration of 13.44 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 197.46 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to the health ministry, more than 193.53 crore (1,93,53,58,865) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. More than 11.67 Cr (11,67,45,075) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
