Raipur: Amidst the nationwide protests against the Agnipath scheme, the farmers of CG have announced to submit an MoU to President of India Ramnath Kovind. The decision came a day after a meeting of the heads of farmers and civil organizations was held in Kayabandha Mango Garden, Nava Raipur.

The delegation has decided to hold mass agitations and submit the memorandum to the Governor on June 24th. Along with this, they have also decided to hold a protest in the national capital while they submit the memorandum.

Roopan Chandrakar, President of the New Capital Affected Welfare committee confirmed the protests under the ‘Government Promise Nibhao Ya Gaddi Chodo’- a joint program being organized for submitting the MoU to the state administration.

The meeting presided by Mr Chandrakar was attended by Virendra Pandey-convener of Tatkal, Alok Shukla-convener of Chhattisgarh Bachao Andolan, Vice President of All India Krantikari Kisan Sabha-Madan Lal Sahu, convenor board members of Chhattisgarh Kisan Mazdoor Federation Tejram Vidrohi and Jageshwar. Jugnu Chandrakar, Raghunandan Sahu- coordinator of the Jago Kisan Andolan, and Vegendra Sonber-convener of Chhattisgarh Kisan Union Dhamtari, Leelaram Sahu-convener of Chhattisgarh Kisan Mahasangh, Narottam Sharma and Bishat Kurre-member of Agricon Pawan Saxena, and president of Chhattisgarh Agent and Investor Welfare Association.
