New Delhi: India recorded 13,313 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.64 per cent accounted for 10,972 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,27,36,027. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.03 per cent.

The number of active cases stood at 83,990 accounting for 0.19 per cent of the total number of cases. A rise of 2,303 was recorded in the active cases in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.21 per cent recorded 38 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,24,941.

With the administration of 14.91 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 196.62 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. According to the health ministry, more than 193.53 crore (1,93,53,58,865) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. More than 12.39 Cr (12,39,76,825) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.

Cumulatively, 85.94 crore covid tests have been conducted in the country so far, of which 6,56,410 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours only.
