Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda are set to make their acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming Netflix film, The Archies. Comic book characters Archie Andrews and his friends will now be seen in an Indian film version on the OTT platform. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the live-action musical is set in 1960s India. The first-look teaser and poster of the film were launched on Saturday, May 14th.
The Indian adaptation of the iconic comics is bankrolled by Tiger Baby and Graphic India. On May 14th, the makers shared the teaser introducing the film’s cast. The Archies went on the floor on April 18th. Apart from Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda, The Archies also features Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda, in lead roles. The teaser introduces the cast having a fun time in the woods. The Zoya Akhtar directorial venture, The Archies, was announced last year. Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda have begun shooting for the project. The news was shared by producer Reema Kagti on Instagram.
Suhana is Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, while Khushi Kapoor is Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s younger daughter. Agastya is Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson. According to reports, Agastya will be seen playing the role of Archie Andrews, while Khushi and Suhana will be seen as Betty and Veronica.
