Andhra Pradesh: Three people, including a minor, have been taken into custody by the Andhra Pradesh police in Repalle, Bapatla district, in connection with the gang rape case of a pregnant woman.

The incident occured at Repalle Railway station on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday when the family was moving to Krishna district from Guntur, in search of work. Reportedly, the woman, along with her husband and children, were sleeping on the railway station’s platform. The lady was abducted by three men and allegedly gang-raped after they beat her husband who tried to raise an alarm and get the help of the railway police but could not find one.

The woman is being treated at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ongole. According to Bapatla district Superintendent of Police (SP), Vakul Jindal, the three accused, in an inebriated condition, assaulted the husband and gang-raped the woman.
