Raipur: In Chhattisgarh, 99% of the above 15 years of age are inoculated with the first dose and 83 % of the population has received double dose vaccines of corona vaccine. As per state health officials, rapid vaccination of people is being done in the state to prevent corona infection.
State Nodal Officer for Covid Vaccination Dr Priyanka Shukla said that 99% above 15 years of age in the state have been given the first dose of corona vaccine and 83% have been given both vaccines to prevent corona infection.
The national and state average vaccination rate of double dose for the age group above 15 years is 96% and 83%respectively. Nearly 100% of the population above 18 years and 69% of the 15 to 18-year-old in the state have been vaccinated with the first dose.
In other words, this percentage accounts for around 2.15 crore citizens above 18 years and 11.38 lakh adolescents of 15 to 18 years have been given the first dose of the vaccine. In total, more than 1.76 crore citizens have been vaccinated against corona with double doses in the state. A total of 3.96 crore vaccines have been administered across the state in both age groups, including first, second and precautionary doses.
