With more reasons to celebrate, Gangubai Kathiwadi titular – Alia Bhatt is all set for her debut in Hollywood alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. Heart of Stone- an international spy thriller will be helmed by Tom Harper and backed by Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, along with Mockingbird’s Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn, and Pilot Wave’s Gadot and Jaron Varsano.
The script is penned by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder. According to the official logline, the film revolves around Rachel Stone (Gadot) an intelligence operative, the only woman who stands between her powerful, global, peace-keeping organization and the loss of its most valuable and dangerous asset. Well, our Gangubai’s role is still under wraps.
The good news came through the Instagram handle of Netflix India- which proudly made the announcement earlier today, making it indeed an International Women’s Day. ‘Starting our day by announcing (and screaming) that Alia Bhatt is going to be in Heart Of Stone”- read the caption of the post.
Speaking about her Hollywood dreams in an interview earlier, Alia said- “I do hope to go there (Hollywood) someday and soon. That is like entering a whole new industry and that is not easy at all. I will have to do it with some more time on my hand.”
Back in 2021, Alia signed up with a prominent Hollywood agency and started looking for her big break. Recently, she spilled the beans on her decision and said, “Through the pandemic, things have slowed down a bit, but we’re going to make this happen. When there’s a will, there’s away.”
