Raipur: Under Op Ganga, 17 students from CG arrived in Delhi, on Friday, said Ganesh Mishra Nodal Officer at Chhattisgarh Bhawan in New Delhi. The students are reported to have landed in Raipur today morning.

According to the nodal officer, 120 students from CG have returned since the GoI launched Op Ganga.

A day before,  NORTH AMERICA CHHATTISGARH ASSOCIATION (NACHA) had forwarded a list including details of 150 students hailing from CG stuck in conflict zones. Following which Governor Anusuiya Uikey also forwarded a list of 110 stranded to the Ministry of External Affairs.

Earlier during the day, Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia shared the status of the evacuation of the stranded citizens from countries neighbouring the ex-Soviet Union.

Since last week, 6222 Indian nationals have been evacuated from Romania and Moldova. India got a new airport to operate flights in Suceava  (50 km from border) instead of transporting students to Bucharest (500 km from the border).
