Madhya Pradesh: The Shivraj Singh Chauhan govt on Friday approved the budget proposal of Rs 2.5 crore for the financial year 2022-23. Attending the meeting virtually CM Chauhan, approved the proposal put forth by State Finance Department.

The meeting also saw the approval of the Narmada Expressway that would extend from Kabira Chabutra of Amarkantak to Jabhua, border of Gujarat. The 906 km Expressway proposal would now be forwarded to the Centre appealing it to include it in the Bharat Mata Project, sources reported. The Narmada Expressway would aid in the progress of the Industrial areas in its vicinity, developing the state’s industrial prospects. Along with this, the approval of feeder roads connecting the main highway was also given during the meeting.  

Apart from these the meeting also saw the tax approval of 17 already constructed roads. The cabinet also decided to rename the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board to Employees Board. The Dept would now come under the aegis of General Administration Dept. 

Budding entrepreneurs of the state would now be able to reap benefits under the MP Governance Policy and Implementation Plan. The meeting also saw the hike of (DA) Dearness Allowance put forth by pensioners and govt employees. As per the ratified scheme, govt employees would be given DA at 20 per cent while pensioners can avail their DA at 17 per cent.
