Jagdalpur: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) paid tributes to Assistant Commandant Shanti Bhushan Tikri of 168 Battalion on Sunday in Chhattisgahr’s Jagdalpur city. The assistant commandant had lost his life in an encounter with Naxals yesterday in the jungle of Putkel in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
The wreath-taking ceremony of Shanti Bhushan Tikri took place today and was attended by IGP Bastar P Sundarraj, IG CRPF Saket Singh, and Collector Basate besides other officials.
Earlier on Saturday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel condoled the demise of the demise of CRPF personnel. “Received the sad news of martyrdom of Assistant Commandant of CRPF, SB Tirkey today in the Naxalit encounter in Bijapur district. May god give courage to his family members”, tweeted the CM.
