New Delhi: As the preparations for the Republic day are underway, the state Police dept has issued guidelines for the guests invited for the celebration.The guidelines mentioned that every individual attending the parade must be fully vaccinated and it clearly denied permission for children below 15 years.It is necessary to have both doses of anti-coronavirus vaccine.Visitors are requested to bring their vaccination certificate,” the Delhi Police tweeted.

It pressed the need of social distancing and masking during the programme on Rajpath on January 26. This essentially means the function won’t have any visitor below 18 as the vaccination drive for teens between 15 and 18 started only this month.

From this month, children in the age group of 15-18 years started getting vaccinated, and healthcare and frontline workers and those aged 60 and above with comorbidities are being given ‘precaution’ doses, amid a spike in cases due to the Omicron variant.It further informed that 27,000 police personnel have been deployed for security duties in the national capital and anti-terror measures intensified in view of Republic Day.
