Chhattisgarh: The Chhattisgarh Excise Department has decided to extend the closure of liquor shops in the state till the midnight of April 28, with the Centre extending the nation-wide lockdown aimed at controlling the spread of COVID-19.

The department had earlier on 14 April has issued orders for closure of liquor shops in the state till April 21 midnight, aimed at controlling the spread of COVID-19.


After the announcement of 1st lockdown, liquor shops were earlier closed till 31 March. After this, its duration was extended until 7 April. Then by issuing a new order, it was extended until 14 April. After the lockdown in the country increased, it was extended until 21 April. Some relaxations may be allowed after April 28 in places in green zone areas.
