Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel fiercely targeted the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the matter of Sant Kalicharan. “BJP leaders are not able to come openly in support of Kalicharan, so they are giving such statements and all our actions are lawful”, said the chief minister while returning from Delhi this morning.
Later, CM Baghel reached Gandhi Maidan where all other Congress leaders sat on a silent dharna. Party president Mohan Markam was also present as the party has organized a ‘Gandhi Hamare Abhiman’ program. Hymes like Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram was enchanted as small children dressed in Gandhiji’s costume sat on the stage.
Following the silent sit-in demonstration, CM Baghel addressed everyone on the stage and asked people about Kalicharan who praised Godse, the person behind the assignation of Gandhiji. Mohan Markam said that people of the ideology of Godse are still among us and politicians should not mislead people.
Earlier on December 26, Kalicharan, a resident of Akola Maharashtra said in the Dharma Sansad of Raipur that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi annihilated the country in 1947. Seeing the disputed statements, a case has been registered against Kalicharan and the accused is in police custody of Raipur till January 1.
