Bhopal: The winter session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly has been postponed. Earlier, after paying homage to CDS Bipin Rawat, Group Captain Varun Kumar and other deceased, the proceedings of the house have been adjourned till December 21st. In a discussion with the media in the assembly premises, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the BJP’s words and actions have come to the fore on the issue of the OBC reservation. Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh said that Congress should bring an apology motion, not an adjournment motion. The situation regarding reservation which has been created today is because of Congress.

A supplementary budget will be presented, an ordinance presented and discussions will be held on bills. The House members can submit questions to the secretariat. The government appealed to the Opposition to allow the smooth functioning of the House. The assembly had passed a supplementary budget of Rs 4,587 crore for the financial year 2021-22 in August. The government made provisions for important sectors, including health and medical education to deal with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and jobs for labourers through the MGNREGA scheme
