Indore: Indore records 6 fresh COVID patients in the past 24 hours. These persons also include two who returned from the United Kingdom and Canada. Both of the patients have been isolated at Katju Hospital in Bhopal as the results from the genome sequencing is still awaited. While the city records 34 corona positive patients in the past 7 days, the Indore Collector Manish Singh has expressed apprehension about the new variant, Omicron.

Out of the total 6351 corona tests done, 6339 were found negative, while 6 were positive. The positive cases are coming up every day as people continue to roam in the city without mask.

Neighboring states of Madhya Pradesh have already issued alert due to the presence of Omicron patients. Meanwhile, many trains coming and going from Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra are not following the COVID protocols. The situation on the Ahmedabad-Barauni Express train through the railway station Rani Kamalapati was shocking as not many people were seen wearing the masks in the train.

Bhopal Divisional Senior DCM Vijay Prakash said that the railways are making announcements to wear masks and follow the social distancing protocol against COVID. He further added that arrangements have been made for the investigation of the situation at railway station.
