Indore: BJP SC Morcha led by its State President Rajesh Shirodkar today organized a cleanliness programme under “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” at Dr Ambedkar Chowk in Indore on the occasion of Gaurav Diwas. In the programme, the statue/sculpture of founding the father of Republic of India and Independent India’s first law & Justice Minister Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar that is located at Dr Ambedkar Chowk rotary was sanitized, cleaned and garlanded. Many people gathered in the programme to contribute their bit to the cleanliness drive.
While addressing the gathering in the programme, State President SC Morcha Rajesh Shirodkar said that Dr Ambedkar had made a priceless role in the framing of the Indian Constitution and also threw light on his life journey and teachings he had imparted among countrymen. He further said that BR Ambedkar is honoured for his role towards the upliftment of Dalits and strenuous struggle against untouchability and caste discrimination. “Dr Ambedkar emphasized on religious, gender and caste equality and also introduced the reservation system to create a social balance amongst the classes”, he added.
