Maharashtra: During a raid in Maharashtra’s Nanded district, a drugs factory was found. So far, 100 kg of drugs have been recovered in searches that began yesterday in the districts of Nanded, Jalna, and Aurangabad. So far, three persons have been arrested. Raids are still going on.

Today, NCB Mumbai conducted an operation in Kamtha, Nanded, and collected a total of 111 kgs of poppy straw (commercial quantity), 1.4 kgs of opium, Rs 1.55 lakh in cash, as well as two grinding equipment for poppy seed grinding, an electronic scale, and a note counting machine.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted raids in different Maharashtra districts. An NCB official said, “The operation is currently on and we would not divulge any information at this stage.” NCB launched an operation in Nanded District last week, seizing a vehicle allegedly transporting 1127 kg of marijuana. The NCB said that the contraband originated in Andhra Pradesh’s Hyderabad and was on its way to Jalgaon.
