Amazon Prime Video today dropped in a sneak peek into the Hindi remake of the acclaimed Marathi film Lapachhapi. This would be Ms. Bharuccha’s first-ever solo venture where she is all set to headline Chhorii which addresses the topic of female feticide. The movie stars Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role, alongside Mita Vashisht, Rajesh Jais, Saurabh Goyal, and Yaanea Bharadwaj.

The trailer of the movie would surely send shivers down the spine with its nerve-racking, scary sneak peek. With a background score of children laughing, screaming and a lullaby being sung in a spooky tone, a pregnant woman is portrayed as a ghost, dressed in Red Indian attire, with her head veiled and most of her face covered.

 The movie is directed by Vishal Furia and Produced by T-Series, Crypt TV, and Abundantia Entertainment. Chhorii also is  maiden coalition between Abundantia Entertainment’s Psych, (a vertical focused on the horror and paranormal genre) and the Los Angeles-based Crypt TV known for showcasing a new brand of scary with shows like – The Look-See, The Birch, Sunny Family Cult, and The Thing in the Apartment. The audience could relish the spooky drama on Amazon Prime in India and across 240 countries and territories in November exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Nushrratt made her Bollywood debut in 2009 with ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’. She was later seen in popular films such as ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘Chhalaang’.
