A 5-hour interrogation was conducted by the ACB-EOW on Wednesday after suspended ADG GP Singh visited the office. The IPS officer was issued three notices earlier to summon for questioning which he failed to fulfil, citing health issues.
The interrogation today was carried out in the presence of a lawyer, inspector and a DSP. GP Singh on August 26 was granted relief from the SC against arrest in a sedition case that was registered with the Kotwali Police. At the same time, he was also instructed to co-operate in the investigations and provide generic information. The ACB and EOW had conducted a raid at the former IPS officers’ residence on July 1 where they recovered documents revealing possession of disproportionate assets and written documents that hinted conspiracy against the government.
