Chhattisgarh: The Capital city, Raipur has witnessed 15 new dengue cases in the past 24 hours, reported municipal corporation. The overall infections in the fort have scored up to 277 so far.

According to the state health department, the new dengue cases have been detected from 12 areas, including Khamtari Road, Cardaipara, and Lalit Chowk.

The Municipal Corporation has engaged a team for disinfecting areas reporting a higher number of cases. Residents are requested to maintain sanitation and avoid water stagnation. Camps are being conducted across the state to educate the crowd about the disease and its precautions. While the Health Authorities have asserted strict screening and treatment.

Between January 1 and August 19, the number of dengue cases rose to 233 in Raipur alone. A majority of infections were reported in the month of June.
