Sports: Tokyo Olympics 2020 has struggled to receive public support underlying the pandemic situation. The games will take place in Japan without spectators as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the capital.

Sources reveal that the Tokyo Olympics 2020 sponsor Toyota will not be displaying advertisements during the Games. It is reported that Toyota, being the major sponsor of the international multi-sport event will not send any executives to the opening ceremony of the Games. Toyota spokeswoman Shiori Hashimoto informed, “Toyota officials will not attend the opening ceremony, and the chief reason behind it is there will be no spectators”.

There were many uncertainties if the Olympics would be held this year. This kept big shots of the food industry in loop. The food industry in South Korea used to release new products in every Olympic or World Cup. However, due to the predicaments across the globe none of them in the food industry had planned launches.

Sources from Japanese media believe that this Olympics has been unable to receive public understanding in many ways. At least 58 COVID cases linked to the Games were discovered this month. Sources reveal that 55 percent of voters in Japan opposed holding the Olympics in the nation. However, Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga pledged that the Games will be held in a “safe and secure manner.
