Raipur: After witnessing a declining graph in its COVID count, the state health bulletin on Friday noted that the active cases statistics to drop to 1 percent vis a vis 30 percent activity rate that was observed during the resurgence. 

As per the current statistics,  the active count of the state stood at 1 per cent accounting for 10,062 cases.  The total tally of the infected individuals rose to 9,89,844 after 509 infections were detected in a single day. 

The recovery rate of the state was recorded at 97.6 percent.  As reported by the state health department,1,122 recovered in the past 24 hours. So far  9,66,414 patients recuperated after hospitalization. 

With 1.4 per cent as the case fatality rate, the death toll rose to 13,368 after 7 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours. Amongst the 7 deceased, two patients were from the Durg district, and one each from  Rajnandgaon, Baloda Bazar, Janjgir-Champa and Bastar.

 On Friday, the state laboratory tested 44,844 which took the total sample tests to 99,52,134.

As per MoHFW, so far,  74,38,006 have been immunized against the virus. Amongst them, 62,30,986 beneficiaries have been administered their first dose and  12,07,020 beneficiaries have received their 2nd dose.
