Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) announced on Thursday that it will acquire a 100 per cent stake in Netherlands-based Evos B.V., the second largest independent liquid storage company in Europe, in the balance of its assets transactions. The price paid by the company for the acquisition of Evos will be 2.56 billion euros, which corresponds to an enterprise value.

APSEZ estimates that the proposed transaction is all cash and the equity value of Evos is calculated at 1.18 billion euros.

Deal to Strengthen Global Presence

India’s biggest port operator further indicated that the acquisition involves 11.7 times the EV/EBITDA of its current operation for the CY25.

In the calendar year 2025, Evos reported revenue of 392 million euros and EBITDA of 219 million euros which provide leverage of 56 per cent.

The transaction will be financed by means of borrowing and be subject to regulatory and other approvals, as well as consulting works councils.

Eight Terminals Across Five European Countries

The deal will give APSEZ a big footprint in the liquid storage and energy centers in the key ports of the world, said APSEZ Managing Director Karan Adani.

APSEZ is excited to contribute to Europe’s sustainable energy transition, though with financial discipline in its growth,” he added.

The proposed acquisition will create a large liquids platform for APSEZ with eight port terminals in five countries in Europe.

The agreement is another major milestone of APSEZ’s global expansion journey to further cement its footprint outside India and expand its outdoor infrastructure business.
