Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, is heading towards its November 5 release with strong advance booking numbers in India and overseas markets.
As of November 1, analysts reported combined worldwide advance bookings of approximately Rs 63.48 crore gross, including Rs 34.01 crore from India and Rs 29.47 crore from overseas markets. The figure marked a significant jump from the Rs 44.11 crore reported on October 31.
Domestic advance bookings have since gained momentum. According to trade analysts latest report, the film has recorded ₹48.50 crore in advance bookings across four show dates, including block seats. Excluding block seats, the domestic collection stands at ₹38.70 crore.
The film’s opening day alone has contributed ₹25.80 crore in advance bookings. Adding the previously reported overseas figure of ₹29.47 crore takes the estimated worldwide advance booking total to approximately ₹78 crore.
North America leads overseas advance bookings
North America is emerging as a major contributor to the film’s overseas advance sales. The November 4 paid premieres have generated approximately $1.065 million, while total overseas pre-sales have crossed $3.5 million across available show dates.
The overseas opening weekend is currently estimated at $2.85 million to $3 million, indicating considerable interest in the film ahead of its theatrical release.
Opening day occupancy and advance booking trends
Despite the impressive headline figures, domestic advance booking trends present a mixed picture. Of the 15,025 opening-day shows, only 13 have been reported as sold out, while 91% still have more than half their seats available.
Advance booking figures are tracker estimates and remain subject to daily changes. The final numbers are expected to shift as the film approaches its November 5 theatrical release.
