Leading the INDIA bloc rally on Sunday, leader of opposition (Lok Sabha) Rahul Gandhi said Gyanesh Kumar would be fired as chief election commissioner and jailed eventually, alleging that the votes were stolen in 2024 Lok Sabha elections through the EVM and manipulation of voter list.
Addressing the gathering, Ramlila Maidan Rahul Gandhi said, “This theft of votes is no ordinary theft. This is the theft of every voice of India. This is called treason”.
He alleged that without Gyanesh Kumar, neither Narendra Modi nor Amit Shah would have gained power at the centre.
“Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, in all these elections, vote theft has occurred. Votes have been stolen through EVMs and by deleting and adding names to voter lists,” he said.
He further accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “stealing votes” and said legal action would follow. He asserted that the Opposition would ensure accountability and justice.
Concurrently holding rival protest, Union Minister JP Nadda lashed out at the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, calling the ‘Chalo Delhi’ march as a ‘calculated conspiracy to sow chaos in the country while claiming that this rally will be the ‘final nail in the coffin of the Congress’s political decline.’
Calling the opposition rally, a well-orchestrated political drama staged by those repeatedly rejected by the public, Nadda, the former BJP chief said that the people will no longer fall for their deceptions. Addressing a press conference. Nadda said, “What is unfolding today at Ramlila Maidan is not an act of respect for democracy; rather, it is a calculated conspiracy to sow chaos — to plunge the nation into anarchy under the guise of democratic principles. It is nothing more than a foolish, well-orchestrated political drama staged by those who have been defeated and repeatedly rejected by the people. The public understands this perfectly well.”
“I wish to reveal Rahul Gandhi’s model of politics to the nation today. Its first phase involves spreading lies and creating an uproar. The second phase entails inciting chaos and disorder on the streets. The third phase involves damaging the nation’s economy. And the fourth phase is an attempt to destabilise an elected government at the behest of foreign powers,” he alleged.
Both BJP and INDIA bloc are holding rival marches in Delhi today with the opposition camp targeting Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, while the BJP organized the march in remembrance of those killed in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, accusing the opposition party of holding its rally on the anniversary of the violence. Besides, BJP national president Nitin Nabin also led a ‘Loktantra Bachao Arajakta Hatao’ march in Haryana’s Rohtak to counter opposition’s narrative.
