On Saturday at his residence in New Delhi, the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, held discussions with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs from Haryana on how to enhance the functioning of public service and welfare activities.
BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and BJP national general secretary in-charge of Haryana Smriti Irani were also in the meeting. The focus of interaction was related to governance and how the elected representatives can better serve people.
Noting that the encounter with the Haryana BJP lawmakers proved “meaningful”, Modi shared details of the meeting in a post on X. They talked about a number of issues but he emphasized that they be handled the best they can and that they work better for the people.
The meeting was attended by the members of the state Pol.io BJP, who discussed with its top leadership, as the government has been busy with implementing developmental and welfare programmes in Haryana.
The Chief Minister, Mr. Saini as well as the party’s state in-charge, too, were also present, thus offering scope for talks not only with the State Government but with the BJP’s organisational leadership too.
The risk is that Modi has engaged in the same modus operandi in the past by meeting with BJP members from various states to discuss governance, matters concerning their constituencies and implementation of government programmes. These engagements also serve as a means of delivering party leadership priorities to elected officials.
The session at PMO gave a forum to the members of the Haryana Vidyalaya where they had an opportunity to talk about their responsibilities towards public service and their responsibilities as a provider of welfare at the grass root level.
It’s a meeting between Chief Minister Bhupathi and Congress senior leaders on the eve of the third phase of the government’s development and administrative push led by Saini. Preserving the delivery of public services and advancing the welfare of people remained focal issues in discussion, reflected in the Prime Minister’s speeches.
The PM did not make any announcement or announcement in the could be interpreted as a policy or financial one in the meeting itself. The talks were mostly about public service, government and enhancing public service for welfare.
