After all the wait, Drishyam 3 has finally hit theatres, and it is the third and last film in the Hindi-language Drishyam series. Abhishek Pathak, the director, has already received reactions from audiences on social media over the movie.

Unlike the first two Hindi adapatations of the Malayalam franchise Drishyam is not a remake of the Malayalam version. This new instalment has an original story and does not have a narrative tie up with the Malayalam version.

The initial feedback on the movies has been mainly on the acting of Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat. The two protagonists have been receiving positive feedback from several fans, with many making social media posts about their performances, which are considered to be one of the key highlights of the film.

One viewer said that the film is a pleasant ending and extolled the talent of Devgn and also made mention of the opportunities availed to Jaideep Ahlawat, Kamlesh Sawant, Rajat Kapoor and Prakash Raj.

Another social media guy took to Twitter to make a comparison between Jaideep Ahlawat’s appearance in the movie and that of Akshaye Khanna’s appearance in the earlier sequel, Drishyam 2, making it seem like Ahlawat is already making a mark in the latest installment.

In the film, Ajay Devgn reunites with the protagonist of the franchise Vijay Salgaonkar. But, with the recent release of Drishyam 3, makers have tried to do something different instead of adapting the Malayalam copy.

Drishyam is directed by Drishyam 2 director Abhishek Pathak. The film is pegged as the final installment of the Hindi series and promises, like any other ending, its own ‘solution’ to Vijay Salgaonkar’s character’s story.

Reactions on social media sites have been mostly about the songs and the new story line, but since more would get to view the film over the weekend, the larger response and box office performance would stand out better.

In the initial analysis of this Drishyam 3, the names of Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat have come to the fore.
